Home Learning Update

We hope you are keeping well and are looking after one another.

Your teachers have been busy planning a weekly timetable of activities for you to complete. The timetables can be found at the top of your class page. There are a range of daily activities covering reading, writing, spelling, maths and topic work. There are also links for you to click on to help you find the specific activities.

Your teachers will continue to provide a weekly timetable of activities on our school website each week. Again, use this time to also try different things with your children and routine is important.

You will have noticed that we are using White Rose Maths resources for your home learning. They have linked up with BBC Bitesize to create online challenges and home learning resources. The link is below:

You may have also heard in the news of The Oak National Academy. This has free access to learning for each year group. It is an online classroom containing video lessons and activities.

You can access this via the link below:

Once more, continue to look after yourselves and your loved ones.

Support and Information

On our School Community page we have added some Local Authority Facebook links offering advice and support for families during the Covid 19 Outbreak. There is also a link containing a set of Self Help Leaflets offering advice covering a range of areas. A weekly message from our PCSO, Georgie Griffiths can be found on our School Community page. This has information about staying safe and some activities for you to complete with your child.

Y3/4R Can't weight to measure!
Year 3 and 4 have had a fantastic day learning all about weight and measures. In order to get the pirate treasure, they have had to answer lots of questions from Pirate Worrall. They have had great fun making predictions about weight (g,kg), length (mm, cm and m), capacity (ml and l) and measuring accurately to discover if their predictions are correct. Thank you Mr Worrall we have learnt lots and have had a really enjoyable day.

The nursery children enjoyed a visit from the local fire brigade. They brought their fire engine and let the children sit inside. The children also had a go at squirting the hose. We had a great time and hope to learn more as part of our 'people who help us' topic.

Children show off their musical talents!
Well done to all the children who performed at Beechwood Primary School as part of a Halton Music Project.  The children have only just started learning how to play but they performed
